Volunteers

Policy

In August of 2012, we developed the Children, Youth, and Vulnerable Adult Volunteer Safeguarding Policy as a way to protect our volunteers, the church, and our children and vulnerable adults.

Click here to view our one page Children, Youth, and Vulnerable Adult Volunteer Safeguarding Policy (established August, 2012).

As stated in the policy, "background checks will be required for all volunteers and staff, 18 years and older, working with children, youth, or vulnerable adults."

Forms

If you will be working with children, youth, or vulnerable adults in any way through St. Olaf Lutheran Church, please download and fill out the Volunteer Application and/or the Driver Application.

Return it to St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Attn: Ashley Corbett, and mark "Confidential" on the outside of the envelope.

Thank you for helping to make St. Olaf a safe community!

Baptisms

In 2011, we baptized 32 infants here at St. Olaf!  If you are looking for more information on baptizing a little one please contact Pr. Bill Odermann for more information.

Nursery

We welcome all children into worship, but for those times when you need a separate space, our beautiful nursery is available!  Directly across from the Sanctuary you will find this cozy place, usually staffed with volunteers, and ready for busy hands.  The nursery is also equipped with speakers, so if mom or dad want to join their child, no one will miss a beat of worship.

The 2012-13 school year ends Sunday, May 19.  If you are interested in helping next year (teaching, subbing, leading music, preparing lessons, or just hanging out with the kiddos) let us know!  Or, if you have a child age 3 through grade 5, we would love to have them join us!  Feel free to drop by for a visit, or come by each week for games, stories, crafts, and diving deep into God's word!

Mission Trip 2013: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

As the largest city in Canada, Toronto is truly a global city.  It is an urban center with a diverse population.  While the city prides itself in a strong economy, not all residents are enjoying prosperity.  Next summer, our high school group will get to share the love of Jesus and serve Toronto residents by partnering with local homeless shelters, children's ministries, food banks, and senior centers.

Depart: Sunday, July 27, 2013

Return: Saturday, August 3
