Christian Education at St. Olaf Church
St. Olaf strives to provide opportunities for education and growth for all ages.
Children’s Ministry
Sunday School
- Meets Sunday mornings from 10:45 to 11:45
- Beginners: 2-1/2 -4 year olds. A parent or grandparent attends class each Sunday with the child.
- Preschool: 4 – 5 year olds. Do not need to attend a preschool.
- Kindergarten: Students currently enrolled in Kindergarten
- 1st – 5th Grades: Classrooms for each grade level.
Vacation Bible School
- Meets one week in June
- For children 3 years old to 5th graders
Communion Instruction
- Instruction is offered at least once a year
Bible Camp
- Children are encouraged to attend Bible Camp, especially Good Earth Village. Children normally receive scholarship help to offset costs.
Youth Ministry
Confirmation
- Meets Wednesdays, 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. (worship and then small groups)
- For grades 6-8
Adult Ministry
Adult Christian Education (ACE)
- Sunday morning classes are offered at 9:15, usually in the small meeting room. Bible Study and Adult Forums
Wednesday Night Bible Study
- Meets Wednesday at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sept-May and 4 p.m. only during the summer. This Bible Study follows the revised common lectionary.
Book Club
- One book group meets weekly on Thursdays at 7 a.m. and another group meets monthly on the first Monday at 10 a.m. (See the online copy of the St. Olaf News for the current books being read and discussed.)
